Zhu is a Level 1 Pawzler puzzle piece with four sliding compartments that occupy four spots on the Base. Each compartment has its own slider that dogs push horizontally to reveal the treat hidden beneath — a straightforward mechanism that builds early puzzle confidence without frustrating dogs who are new to enrichment play.
How It Works
Zhu features four individual sliders arranged in a row. Each slider moves horizontally — dogs push it left or right using their nose, tongue, or paw to uncover the treat beneath. Each compartment is independent, so dogs can work through them in any order. The mechanic is intuitive enough for beginners but satisfying enough to hold the attention of more experienced puzzle dogs when used as part of a larger configuration.
Fill each compartment with small treats, or spread a meal across the compartments to slow down eating and turn mealtime into playtime.
Use as a Base Connector
Zhu's four-spot footprint allows it to span the join between two adjacent Bases, physically linking them together and extending the overall puzzle footprint. This increases the number of possible configurations and extends session time without requiring additional connector pieces.
Compatibility
Zhu clips into any Pawzler Base and is compatible with all Pawzles and Bases in the range. A Base is required — Zhu cannot be used without one. Zhu is included in the Beginner Set and works well alongside Level 2 and Level 3 Pawzles to create mixed-difficulty configurations as your dog progresses.

Pawzler is an enrichment toy — not a chew toy. Always supervise play, particularly if your dog is prone to chewing. The moment chewing starts, calmly end the session and remove the puzzle. Return it only once your dog is calm and ready to problem-solve again. Pawzler pieces damaged through chewing are not covered under warranty. If your dog is a determined chewer, we recommend starting with a single Pawzle under close supervision before introducing the full set
